Sport-mad Tasha Coates, 19, has battled through illness to win five gold medals to become the champion of British Disability Gymnastics. The teenager was struck down with a series of allergic reactions called anaphylactic shocks for a year – which can be aggravated by too much exercise. The mystery illness that struck her down caused her to lose her hair and be rushed to hospital more than 30 times in 12 months. SEE MERCURY COPY
